The course emphasises the role of technology in the modern business environment, enabling our graduates to appreciate and utilise technology in meeting real-world business goals. You will acquire technical skills in software engineering and system design, as well as an understanding of how these impact organizations. Software engineering projects conducted throughout your degree are taught in conjunction with industry professionals and give you the opportunity to test your skills against real-world problems. Alongside a range of technical skills, you will develop a range of industrially relevant skills, including those in communication, planning and management.

Admission Requirements

The UG admits all students without any discrimination of race, nationality, region, or religion. The UG's program selects candidates who demonstrate the potential to become Rwandan’s future health care leaders. We welcome all students having obtained an Advanced General Certificate of Secondary Education with at least two principal passes permitting him/her an entry to the higher education or equivalent.

Assessment Strategies

  • Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT) is 60%. This may be in the form of assignments, quiz, mid-exams.
  • At the end of each semester, all students will sit for a final examination with a maximum score of 40%. The exam will be a composite of questions from different units covering the module.
  • The final-year students undertake a scientific project in one of the research area related to this program.
  • A module is passed if its expected learning outcomes have been achieved. The assessment of each module shall generate a single mark between 0% and 100% expressing the extent to which the learning outcomes have been achieved. The pass mark for each module is 50%, for practical modules it is it is estimated to 60%.
Exit Profile

Upon successfully completing the Computer Science Management program offered by our educational institute of Professional Studies, the program combines solid academic theory with the practical skills and knowledge that are vital to businesses, culture, government and society. Students gain an in-depth understanding of computer architecture, languages and systems — areas vital for industry careers, graduate study or research in computer science management.
